The IHATEC II research project (funding programme for innovative port technologies) ENETRA is developing a web tool to help inland port operators transition to 100% renewable energy. It will enable them to simulate the port’s future energy requirements and analyse different energy concepts.
Primary objectives:
- Supporting port operators in the transition to a sustainable energy system based on 100% renewable energy
- Determining current and future energy requirements and generation potential
- Integrated planning for the use of land and property
- Planning investments in new energy concepts
The project partner is Reiner Lemoine Institut gGmbH (RLI).
Bundesverband Öffentlicher Binnenhäfen e.V. (BÖB), Bayernhafen GmbH & Co. KG, DeltaPort GmbH & Co. KG and the Berlin Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Action and the Environment participate as associated partners.
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) and coordinated by TÜV Rheinland Forschungs- und Innovationsmanagement GmbH (TRFI).
Project period: 1 January 2025 – 30 June 2027
