Your duties
- Handling containers at the trimodal Westhafen container terminal
- Operating container gantry cranes, reach stackers and empty container handlers
- Checking that empty containers are fit for use
- Weighing containers
- When required, operating other cargo handling equipment in our ports (including cranes, industrial trucks, construction machinery and lorries), and carrying out all other duties associated with cargo handling
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in a field related to cargo handling
- Qualifications and experience in operating container handling equipment (container gantry cranes, reach stackers and empty container handlers)
- Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work in a team
- Willingness to work a three-shift system, including weekends and public holidays
- Category B/BE driving licence; a category C/CE licence is desirable
We offer secure, permanent employment with pay under the TVöD VKA collective agreement, including an annual special payment, allowances and a performance bonus, plus further benefits.
