Your duties
- Operating technical equipment in our ports to handle general and bulk cargo
(including cranes, construction machinery, conveyor systems and heavy transport vehicles) - Preparing cargo handling operations, such as attaching lifting gear and securing loads on lorries and vessels
- Handling heavy cargo, including road transport
- When required, handling containers at the Westhafen container terminal and operating container gantry cranes, reach stackers and empty container handlers
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in a field related to cargo handling (practical trades are also welcome)
- Qualifications and experience in operating large technical equipment (cranes, excavators and wheel loaders)
- Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work in a team
- Technical understanding
- Willingness to work a two- or three-shift system, including weekends and public holidays
- Category B/BE and C/CE driving licences
- Desirable: BF3 escort vehicle qualification
- Desirable: experience in handling heavy cargo
